Fresh Start Recovery is looking for volunteer opportunities in our BIA

Fresh Start Recovery

Since Fresh Start Recovery moved into the Greenview area in 2012, connection to our community has been a cornerstone, fostering a spirit of connection, recovery, and mutual support among our community members and the wider neighbourhood. Fresh Start is rooted in the principles of the 12 steps of recovery, guiding individuals on a transformative journey toward personal growth and reconnection to the community. Throughout the years, we’ve not only focused on the recovery and well-being of our clients but also on how we can extend our hand to the community that surrounds us. We’ve participated in various local initiatives, from contributing to the Carden art installation and volunteering for the Tango 2 Echo festival to organizing community clean-ups and helping local businesses with needs around their buildings and so much more. We do this to demonstrate our commitment to making a tangible difference in the neighbourhood we call home.

Step 12 of the program of recovery emphasizes the importance of service and carrying the message to others in need, reflecting the belief that giving back is a crucial part of our own healing process. In this spirit, we are reaching out to members of the Greenview BIA to explore new ways to contribute to our community, aiming to share the powerful philosophy of service and community engagement with our clients. We believe that by working together, we can identify the needs within our neighbourhood and mobilize our resources and energy to meet them, thereby strengthening the bonds among us. We are excited about the opportunities and eager to continue giving back, enriching our client’s lives, and contributing to the vibrant community we are proud to be a part of.

If you have a project or event and could use a helping hand, we would be happy to be of service. Please contact Rod Garossino by E-mail at Rodg@freshstartrecovery.ca or call us at 403-387-6266 and let us know how we can work together.
