REPORT, REPORT, REPORT.

We know reporting takes time and sometimes we don't see any benefit in doing so. But reporting IS important. If we don't report then the city and the CPS don’t have records of our need for general improvements or more police surveillance. Attached are links to apps and websites that WILL in the long term make a difference to your and the GIBIA community.

Break and Entry / Theft

  • The best way to inform the city of break-ins and provide the accurate stats for increased service is to report. If we or the police do not know of the crime in the area then they will not send resources our way.

  • Please call the Calgary Police Non-Emergency line at 403-266-1234 to report a break-in. Other crimes can be reported AT CopLogic - Link here

  • Please SHARE ANY break-in’S or vandalism WITH us submit here so we have data FOR OUR CLEAN & SAFE TEAM.

Graffiti Abatement

311 App

  • to download the easy to use phone app Link here YOU CAN NOW REPORT UNDER ‘GREENVIEW BIA’ FOR QUICKER SERVICE AND SUPPORT.

  • Things easy to report: Potholes, dumping, social outreach, loitering, back-lane maintenance, sidewalk repair, burnt out street lights and other bylaw infractions. Note that reporting graffiti may incur fines for your neighbours.

KNOW YOUR NEIGHBOURS

One of the best ways to prevent crime is to know who you neighboUrs are, their hours of operation and what they drive.

A simple, ‘hey I haven't seen you before’ to a stranger in the area shows them we are united. Ask them some questions they wouldn't otherwise know the answers to and feel free to call your neighboUr to confirm if that gut is telling you something is off.
